Karen -To write more thought-provoking posts on my blog.
- To write more short shorts and post on my blog.
- To write a short story suitable to submit to Glimmer Train or the Missouri Review.
- To complete a tentative outline (because I always deviate) by October 31st for the NaNoWriMo challenge.
- To write 50,000 words from the above mentioned outline between November 1st through November 30th (I will be participating in NaNoWriMo)
Andrea - Write more stories and submit them to various magazines (online and print).
- Research some horror markets.
- Edit at least three stories and submit them.
- Edit A Dark Sunset and resubmit to Long Story Short.
- Attempt to update all of my blogs on a regular basis and create a blogging schedule for each one.
- Read at least three or four books from my personal library.
- Depending on whether I choose to sign up or not, do an outline and research for the NaNoWriMo challenge.
- Write at least 50,000 words during the entire month of November for NaNoWriMo (again, if I decide to sign up).
Overall Goal
To regain my creative voice, as I have completely stopped writing.
SubGoals
- To write at least 3 pages each day in a journal (physical or e-), even it’s just repeating the words “I have no talent” over and over.
- To write no less than 3 blog posts each week (not counting my Write Stuff post and Fiction Friday).
- To work no less than 1 hour each week on legitimate, marketable, already existing (at least in thought) fiction.
Tammi -
1. Complete grant writing course: Sept 19 - Oct 24
2. Build writing Website
3. Draw 1 portrait each week
Paul (Writer’s Notebook) - The first is to carry on writing small fiction pieces on my blog; the second is to enter the short story contest being organised by our local library. This will be a challenge as it’s in French.
Paul Anderson - My big goal will be to complete NaNoWriMo, my first time entering it.
I’m also going to be in Austin in mid-October for a conference, and a few people who are going are aware of a spoof based on the conference that I have an idea for, and they are encouraging me to have something written in time for it, so I’d like to get something worked up for that.
Finally, to make sure I keep participating in Fiction Friday!

Jeff -
Don’t take Writing/Blogging too seriously, have fun!
Edit out my negative remarks about my writing and myself.
Quit worrying what others think about my writing.
Quit comparing my writing to the writing of others.
Allow myself to take a break from writing everyday.
I need to stop having such high expectations for my writing.
I need to accept the mistakes that I make in my writing.
Achieving these goals in my writing, would make me feel so much better about the possibility of actually calling myself a writer that I may finally succeed
