NaNoWriMo Excerpt Contest
November 9th, 2007.
Mark this date on your calendar. Why?
Beginning November 9th, WriMo participants will have a chance to submit a link to their best NaNoWriMo excerpt. Visitors will then vote for the one they think has the best potential of becoming a full-fledged novel. The winner will receive a $20.00 gift certificiate to Amazon.com OR one year’s subscription to Writer’s Digest - winner’s choice. (Winner must be willing to give me his/her snail mail address if he/she chooses the Writer’s Digest subscription).
PLEASE NOTE: Contestants do not have to have a word count widget on this page in order to participate in the contest, however, if you do not have a word count widget then you must provide a link to your profile page on the NaNoWriMo website in the comment section on the sticky post. This is required to insure all contestants are participating in the NaNoWriMo challenge. For example: here is Karen’s profile page.
To sum up:
1. Pick your favorite NaNoWriMo excerpt.
2. Post it to your blog.
3. Place the permalink in the Mr. Linky that will appear in a sticky note on the home page beginning November 9th.
4. Come back November 16th after 4:00 p.m. central time and check out all of the contestants’ excerpts.
5. Vote for your favorite.
The winner will be announced both on Write Stuff and emailed after 8:00 p.m. central time November 20th.
