It’s time for another Picture This writing exercise - are you ready? Are your fingers eagerly poised above your keyboard? Are your pencils sharpened?
Great! Let’s get started:
Write the first thing that comes to mind when you see this photo. (Click to enlarge)
Write (at least) 250 words. Post your writing to your blog, come back here and leave us a link, You’re a writer, right? Then write!
If you’re participating in the Picture This challenge, please leave a link to your entry in the box below. (If you’re not participating, please don’t leave a link. People who aren’t playing will be removed). Please don’t forget to leave us a comment, in addition to your link, telling us your thought process for this exercise. Sometimes it helps to verbalize our creativity.
Powered by… Mister Linky’s Magical Widgets.
**BONUS: Every person who participates in Picture This will be eligible to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com. A name will be drawn from the Mr. Linky links at 8:00 p.m. central time this evening. Winner will be announced on this post as well as emailed. So think - not only is this is a writing exercise, it’s a writing exercise with a PRIZE!
Good luck!
A new Picture This challenge will take place one Saturday of every month. Which Saturday? Well, considering Creative Carnival is the second Saturday of each month, and Say it on Saturday is the fourth Saturday of every month, that only leaves the first or the third. So, the moral of this post? Check back EVERY Saturday because you never know what sort of goodies you’ll find here. ![]()

Well this was a lovely suprise on a Saturday afternoon (here in Australia). With Dylan asleep I had a window of opportunity to churn something quickly out. I’m feeling fluey so wasn’t too up for figuring out a good twist at the end.

I think this was photo was my favorite prompt of all prompts, if there is such a thing. Thank you. Started my Saturday off in a great way.
(The combination of your remark, “You’re a writer, right? Then write!” and the anti-spam word today, “submit” is like the universe speaking to all writers!)

Hello Everyone, I hope the Write Stuff will accept my story: Truth is Stranger than Fiction. I have a very hard time with my writing and I am always trying to combine my Blog entries with my life.
It could be said that I haven’t even written a story here today, but in my mind it is. My hope in writing this story is that Moyrn can have some people critique her story: The False Encounter and help her out.
Enjoy Life!

I don’t really have a process - I see the image and something comes up.
It’s not always easy but it is an exercise in writing so anything goes.

This is new and interesting and since poetry is dear to my heart, I often find it easier to express feelings and emotion in rhyme…hope you like it.
