Wendy's employees are expected to follow the generally accepted business standards of behavior, including observance of the standards noted below. These standards also apply whenever employees are involved in activities, as well as their personal conduct, away from the job.
Employees will not
falsify application information for employment or other data requested
by Wendy's.
Employees will not
repeat confidential information to unauthorized people. This rule extends
to financial statements, budgets, rate of pay, sales, deposit procedures,
etc.
Abuse or misuse of
Wendy's property or the property of other employees is prohibited.
Falsification of, or
tampering with, any Wendy's records is prohibited.
Appropriation of Wendy's
property, or the property of other employees, is prohibited.
Fighting on the premises
is prohibited.
Gambling of any kind
is not allowed on the premises or with any employees, management, or vendors.
Drinking alcohol, using
or selling drugs on the premises, or reporting to work under the influence
of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
No immoral or indecent
behavior on the premises.
No obscene language.
People who are not
scheduled employees, or performing a service for Wendy's, are not allowed
behind the counter or in the back area without first showing proper identification.
If a situation should arise, the manager must approve all admittance of
non-Wendy's employees.
Habitual tardiness
and absenteeism is prohibited. Employees are to report to work on time,
dressed in their uniforms, and in their positions ready to work at the
time indicated on the weekly schedule.
Smoking is not allowed
on Wendy's property.
Failing to start work
at the proper time, loafing, or finishing work before the end of the shift
is prohibited.
Solicitations or posting
pictures or literature not authorized by the home office is prohibited.
Loitering on the premises
after working hours without a reason or entering the restaurant off the
clock without proper authorization of a supervisor is prohibited.
Stealing Wendy's property,
or other employee's property, is prohibited. Wendy's policy is to prosecute
violators.
Taking pictures, bringing
cameras, or other photographic equipment into Wendy's is prohibited unless
written approval is obtained from the home office.
Refusal to do assigned
work, insubordination, or failure to carry out any reasonable request
given by a member of management is prohibited.
Falsifying time cards
or giving false information to personnel is prohibited.
Violation of security
regulations is prohibited. Employees must leave and enter the building
by the front door only.
Adhering to prescribed
safety regulations is required. Any violation shall be promptly reported
to the manager.
Possessing or bringing
firearms or other lethal weapons onto Wendy's property is prohibited.
Employees are expected
to adhere to the Equal Opportunity Policies regarding discrimination.
This includes, race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, or physical
handicap.
Repeated failure to
comply with recognized grooming and uniform standards is prohibited.
Careless behavior,
which affects the performance of fellow employees or the proper handling
of business, is prohibited.
Threatening, intimidating,
or coercing employees or customers, is prohibited.
Approved way of answering
the phone, "It's a great day at Wendy's. May I help you please?"
Gum chewing, when working,
is not permitted.
Health department standards
do not permit coats to be hung in food preparation or storage areas. Coats
should be hung only in approved areas.
Employees are responsible for their own possessions. Wendy's is not responsible for lost or stolen property, therefore, employees should not bring excessive money or valuables to work.
Employees who fail to comply with the above rules of conduct will be subjected to disciplinary action including the penalty of suspension or discharge. Wendy's reserves the right to utilize all available resources allowed by the law.
